Ziqiao is currently a 4th year student on full scholarship at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory, and is currently the Principal Oboe of the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory Orchestra. She is currently under the tutelage of Rachel Walker, Principal Oboe of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra.

As a teacher, Ziqiao has taught oboe to band students at Chung Cheng High School (Main), as well as at Band World.

Ziqiao started learning piano at the age of 7. She started learning the oboe at the age of 12 and 3 months later, she successfully auditioned to the Beijing Central Conservatory of Music in 2003, under the tutelage of Zhu Dun, the oboe professor in China.

She participated in the Beijing Oboe Festival 2011, and attended masterclasses with various artists such as Wang Liang, the Principal Oboe of the New York Philharmonic, Cismondi Nora, one of the most famous oboists in France and Daniel Bates, 1st prize winner of numerous international oboe competitions.
